Patient involvement in wound care: a platform for change: Part 2

23 May 2016

In this webcast, Professor Zena Moore, focuses on the increasing importance of patient involvement in managing the burden of wound care and maintaining the sustainability of our healthcare systems

In the first presentation, Christine Moffat, Professor of Clinical Nursing Research at the University of Nottingham (UK), explores ways to encourage patient involvement, looking at how to adapt care planning to support shared decision-making and self management. In particular, Christine focuses on the benefits of using dressings with change indicators, such as ALLEVYN◊ Life, to support patient involvement.

In the next presentation, Dr Caroline Fife, Medical Director at the Wound Clinic at St Luke’s Hospital in Texas (USA), looks at the increasing importance of patient feedback to the way healthcare services are delivered, focusing on the need to develop healthcare systems that are patient-centred, accessible and cost-effective.

This webcast has been supported by Smith & Nephew.
