Advances in pressure-relieving surfaces – a new care delivery model: Part 1

30 November 2016

Chaired by Professor Keith Harding, this second webcast for 2016, continues our discussion on the importance of optimising resources in pressure ulcer management by focusing on prevention and improving clinical outcomes.

Hear from two leading clinical experts as they explore the impact of advances in pressure ulcer prevention.

Matt Tite, Improvement Analyst at The Quality Improvement Healthcare Company, Leicester (UK), looks at the health improvement measurement methodology used to analyse the data and demonstrate the significant reduction in pressure ulcers.

Jacqui Fletcher, Independent consultant from the UK, discusses the outcomes of a large-scale, multi-centre evaluation of an innovative powered hybrid support surface. This study shows how a step change in pressure ulcer prevention provision can improve patient outcomes, reduce treatment costs and optimise care hours per patient day.
