<p>The American Lymphedema Framework Project (ALFP) is a national initiative introduced in 2008 to improve the management of lymphoedema (LE) and related disorders in the United States. A National Stakeholders Conference was held in March 2009 to share perspectives on the current state of LE, establish priority issues, and recommend actions to move the field forward.</p>
