'Bringing together the global wound care community'
2nd Wounds International Global Conference
Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
10-12 September 2013
Following the huge success of our inaugural conference in Cape Town, South Africa, we are delighted to announce that the 2nd Wounds International Conference will be held in one of Asia's most vibrant and exciting destinations, Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.
The event will provide practitioners with a truly unique learning and networking opportunity, bringing together clinicians from all parts of the globe to share their experience, whilst comparing and contrasting practice and service delivery. Our first event in Cape Town, South Africa brought together over 600 international and local clinicians and proved to be a hugely interactive and rewarding three days of wound care best practice, delivered through a number of plenary and Made Easy workshop sessions.
The event also aims to help the global wound care community leave a legacy of education in the destination country. Malaysia is currently evolving its own wound care speciality and we are proud to announce that we will be working in collaboration with the Malaysian College of Surgeons and the newly formed Malaysian Society of Wound Care Practitioners to ensure local involvement at the conference.
Kuala Lumpur, known as KL, is one of Asia's most iconic destinations. The view from the convention centre is dominated by the majestic Petronas Towers, the world's tallest twin buildings, which will provide the perfect backdrop for the conference. Delegates will find the city to be hugely welcoming - not only is Malaysia friendly and charming, its warm climate and fantastic scenery create an aspirational destination.
We are currently in the process of developing the content for the event with our programme committee and this will be published in due course. In the meantime however, should you wish to review the content delivered at our South African conference, please click here to visit our Cape Town virtual conference site where you can view some of the sessions.
