The next World Union of Wound Healing Societies conference will be held in Florence from 25-29 September, 2016.
Under the title ‘One Vision, One Mission’ the conference aims to facilitate the sharing of best practice in wound care around the world. Since being chosen as the host country and organiser, Professor Marco Romanelli and the Italian organising committee have been working to develop an unrivalled scientific and social programme for the event.
The Committee has recognised that the WUWHS 2016 Congress has a great opportunity to enhance knowledge and understanding, not just to those attending as delegates, but to all practitioners around the world. With that key aim in mind, Wounds International will be producing a range of educational documents launched at the event and subsequently available as free-to-access downloads from the WUWHS 2016 and Wounds International websites. These seminal publications will be developed with the WUWHS 2016 Committee and key specialists, providing practitioners around the world with the latest evidence and practical guidance to share knowledge in a range of key subject areas.
Wounds International is very proud to be collaborating with WUWHS 2016 in this regard and look forward to producing these essential educational items. In addition, we expect the Congress itself will identify a number of other themes and areas where further research and education is required and Wounds International will be working with WUWHS 2016 for the 4 years of their tenure to produce follow-up educational items in the coming years.
