Mexico approves new wound care technology for nationwide useThe Mexican Commission for the Authorisation of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices has registered an innovative wound care system for the treatment of chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot and leg ulcers.

After years of rigorous testing in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Sangui wound healing products have been authorised as a national method for treating wounds. Studies show a healing ratio of over 75% in Mexico using these treatments.

Sangui products aim to regenerate cells using oxygen, glucose and glucosaccharides. For example, HEMO2 Spray is a spray-on dressing, which uses oxygen diffusion to heal chronic wounds.

It is hoped that using Sangui products on a national level will reduce the costs of chronic wound treatments.
