Advocacy group for lymphoedema starts online campaign in US
The Lymphedema Advocacy Group has started a campaign to expand insurance coverage in the US for lymphoedema diagnosis and treatment.
The group's focus is on lobbying the US Senate and signing a Change.org petition for a new bill, which will implement better insurance coverage for patients with lymphoedema. The bill will ensure comprehensive treatment coverage, patient education, patient self-treatment plans and preventative measures for those at risk.
The group is organised by volunteers who are patients with the condition, care givers, clinicians and industry partners looking to support those with lymphoedema, encouraging patients to share their stories and raise awareness.
