Wounds — not just a hole in the patient

9 May 2016

For the second successive year, Wounds International — the online, quarterly page-turning journal — and its sister publication Wounds UK, have combined content to form a special, printed ‘hybrid’ issue. This will be available to delegates attending the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) 2016 conference, which is to be held in Bremen, Germany. The theme of this year’s EWMA conference is titled ‘PATIENTS, WOUNDS, RIGHTS’, thus placing patients themselves at the centre of focus. The EWMA website clarifies the theme, explaining that the ‘patient is more than a person with a wound. He/she is a human being with needs and requirements; and rights’ (http://ewma.org/ewma-conference/ewma-conferences/).
