Clinical innovation: Treatment with an anti-scar gel and massage ball improves physical parameters of hypertrophic scars

<p class="p1">Silicone gels are currently considered the gold standard, first-line, non-invasive prevention and treatment for hypertrophic scars. Although their mode of action is not yet fully understood, scar hydration seems to play a key role. This article outlines the findings of a pilot, single-centre, single-group, open-label evaluation of Bepanthen® Anti-Scar Gel and Massage Ball in the treatment of hypertrophic scars older than one month. The product has shown significant efficacy in all but one evaluated parameter, improving scar appearance and feeling, and satisfying the expectations of volunteers and healthcare professionals.</p>n<p> </p>
