Obese patients have an increased risk of pressure ulcer development and it is important that every effort is made to prevent occurrence. This article looks at the reasons why bariatric patients are more prone to pressure ulcer damage ahd suggests ways in which carers can help to protect these patients, while avoiding the risk of injury to themselves.
