Canadian Association of Wound Care
The Canadian Association of Wound Care, founded in 1995, is a non-profit organization of healthcare professionals, industry participants, patients and caregivers dedicated to the advancement of wound education, prevention and care in Canada. The CAWC's objective is to promote best evidence-based practices to improve the prevention and healing of wounds in order to enhance the quality of life of affected patients.
New educational initiative
The CAWC Institute of Wound Management and Prevention has launched a series of education events designed to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to improve wound management in facilities and institutions across Canada.
