Brazilian Stomal Therapy Association: ostomy wound and continence care/Associação Brasileira de Estomaterapia - Estomias, Feridas e Incontinências (SOBEST)
The Brazilian Stomal Therapy Association: ostomy wound and continence care (SOBEST) is a scientific non-profit, interdisciplinary association based in Brazil. It was created in 1992, two years after the first Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Program (ETNEP) (promoted by the Nursing School of the University of São Paulo). Full members include wound ostomy and continence nurses who completed one of the recognized programs in Brazil or abroad. Other healthcare professionals, healthcare students and companies interested in wound, ostomy and continence care may subscribe to SOBEST.
Mission
SOBEST is involved with the scientific and technical development of healthcare professionals interested in wound, ostomy and continence care.
